We have produced an interactive map showing the proposed corridor for our preferred route for Rhiwlas GEN, which was available to review and comment upon during our recent non-statutory consultation.
For ease of reference, we divided the route into three main sections. These can still be viewed by selecting the relevant option from the list below or clicking on one of the icons shown on the interactive map.
Consultation closed – please note that the public consultation for the Rhiwlas GEN project has now closed. This map will be updated as part of Green GEN Cymru’s next non-statutory consultation, due to take place in late 2024/early 2025.

The RCD explains the background to the Rhiwlas GEN project, provides a description of the proposed grid connection and outlines the methodology we have used for the routeing work. The RCD also presents the findings of initial environmental assessments of the route options and sets out information about the ‘preferred route corridor’ for the connection.
